If you love Cardi B, then you should love her hair too. Thank goodness, she’s finally letting us in on her hair secrets. Today, the rapper made a post signaling the dawn of a new beauty era: “Major Hair, Major Era, Coming Soon.” Fans immediately took notice, and for good reason. Cardi B is officially launching her own hair-care brand, Grow-Good, a project she says has been in the works for years.
The announcement came via Cardi’s Instagram, accompanied by a short but tantalizing reel that kicked off with throwback footage from 2023. In the clip, Cardi proudly shows off her long, natural hair. The video peeks into the meticulous process behind Grow-Good. Viewers catch glimpses of a medical personnel explaining the formulations and ingredients in the products, while Cardi nods along in approval. Clearly, this shows that beyond being another celebrity-endorsed line; it’s a hair-care brand that’s lab-tested and built with science in mind.
“This is my baby,” Cardi says in the video. “I’ve been working on this for the past three years. I’m so excited because it’s something very highly requested, and I’ve been working so long on it.” She also opens up about her personal hair journey, revealing that she once hated her hair as a child. “Now that I’m older, I grew to love it, appreciate it… it’s really a part of me,” she explains.
Although Cardi hasn’t revealed the full lineup of products yet, nor their price points or retail availability.
The reel also highlights Cardi’s hands-on involvement in developing Grow-Good. In the reel, she is seen working alongside hair professionals, experimenting with ingredients, and even testing formulations.
Fans have long been curious about how Cardi achieves her glossy, healthy hair. For years, Cardi has been vocal about her personal hair journey. She has shared DIY remedies and homemade mask recipes rooted in Caribbean traditions, like rinsing her hair with boiled onion water for shine and creating homemade avocado masks for herself and her daughter, Kulture. She has also spoken about hair damage, postpartum shedding, and the reality of maintaining healthy hair under constant styling pressure. Now, with Grow-Good, those secrets are going to be accessible through her own haircare line.
Grow-Good’s Instagram page already teases the brand’s mission: “Upgrading the classics with the latest science for booty-length certified hair.” While there aren’t any products available for purchase yet, Cardi B has also launched a website, though there are no products available yet.
